It was an honour to have been asked to host the inaugural Evolvin’ Women Forum, at Alas Towers in Dubai.
Evolvin’ Women aims to collectively transform over 1,000 women from across Africa into the next generation of professionals and social entrepreneurs.
As a Corporate Advisory Board Member of Evolvin' Women, I have personally witnessed the positive impact this programme is making. The roles focused predominately in the hospitality sector but have now expanded into the retail and logistics sector - which provides more opportunities for the ladies to acquire new skills and knowledge. The thing that is so special about the Evolvin’ Women programme is that the ladies get to work for incredible organizations, whilst also being offered invaluable training and mentorship Accenture Middle East and PwC Academy Middle East.
Nadine hosted the TedTalks session, and the speakers were the Evolvin Women ladies. Each of them inspired us to never stop believing no matter how challenging the circumstances might be. And to focus on what IS possible: Alice Banda, Tabbeth Phiri, Deborah Kalenga and Nicole Umuziranenge – Well Done!!
The first panel discussion tackled ‘Stereotypes and Challenges’; The second panel reminded us about the importance of ‘Celebrating Success!’. Well done to all the ladies from both panels which included Sally Mumba, Odette Nabonibo, Blessing Jacobs, Grace Iwavu, Aisha Gusenga, Leah Mulenga, and Nana Rablu.
Lastly, Thank you Assia Ricco for allowing us to be a part of this inspirational journey of transformation.
